It started with in primary two during the music lessons I was invited to sing "7 little birds" in front of the whole class. And I got the correct notes and being praised by my music teacher that I sang well.
Then in the audition of the choir, I did not see my name on the list for performance, I thought I was not good enough and strive hard to practise hard whenever opportunities are instead of being present with the music and enjoy myself.
During the Landmark Forum I discovered this story and blind spot, and so I gave it up and back to my love and passion for music again!
I am thankful my daddy's sharing of beautiful CDs and music in the times I was small and the radio that allow me to explore my emotions and artistic sense, nuture my communication and language skills. Special thanks goes to my primary and secondary Good Hope School and all the music teachers who have shared, taught and trained us with all they have.

An African king seeks a princess for his son. A Chinese sociologist seeks a guide for her studies. Somewhere in the mythical kingdom of Zamuda, lovers’ eyes lock and cultures collide with timless prejudice in this fast-moving specially commissioned modern day fairy tale, told to African rhythms with Chinese characteristics.
African Ventures is a collective of artists dedicated to bringing a better understanding to all in Hong Kong of all things African.
In recognition of other NGOs working for the same purpose, the world premier on Wednesday 25 March will be a charity gala performance, with all proceeds going to pertinent Hong Kong based charities designated by African Ventures.

佔領運動由催淚彈揭開序幕，警方向手無寸鐵的市民發放了87次催淚彈，成為港人的共同記憶。有本地英語劇團以催淚彈為題，描述不同身份人士的矛盾，包括大學生、警察、外傭等，藝術家期望能為佔領運動尋覓出路。

本土藝團Brave Heart Theatre正在上環Premium Sofa Club演出話劇《Tear Gas！》，劇團藝術總監、定居香港的英國人Tom Hope說，9.28催淚彈施放的當日，決定擱置原定劇目，改為以9.28事件創作新劇，他找來Maryjane Alejo（馬尼拉著名劇團Tag-Ani agit-prop創辦人之一）及八十後港人Sandy參與演出，本月中至28日，逢周三、四、五上演。此劇以喜劇方式，把任職警察的母親、黃絲帶女兒及菲律賓家傭等人物，在佔領事件中的心理矛盾為故事，各人有各自觀點，結局由觀眾建議出路，導演即時創作。Tom指，這比喻香港人想要民主路，無奈也要由中央判決。
Tom本身是律師，佔中運動期間只去過現場數次，笑言因怕被誤會為外國勢力，於是選以劇場方式討論佔中及催淚彈對香港人的傷害。1989年，他有份向英國國會議員爭取給香港人「英國護照」，並在游說政客時指，「英國護照」是對港人心理保障。他認為現時社會對選舉制度討論未夠深入，持續討論會有出路。
任職歌手的Maryjane Alejo有不少在菲律賓的朋友，因參與反政府運動而人間蒸發，認同追求民主自由非常艱辛，她指香港人需要尋求大多數的共識才會找到出路。Sandy則指，雨傘運動由港人累積多年來的努力而成，為港人驕傲。

Invited by Father Franco from Italy and Sister Esther Warioba from Africa, I was honored to perform in the international team with fellow Rev, priests, deacon, brothers and sisters to perform my first African song in Swahili "lende mbele injili ya Yesu!" dressing in our African costumes.
Together with other music groups and parties of the church like catholic schools, churches. One of the performing groups is my secondary school Good Hope School Choir, which I used to sing before. I thanked God for giving me the talent of singing as well as the school environment, music teachers, and chances of sharing music in church such as singing in church choir.

Can I join the recording? I asked Priest Father Franco. He said sure. I went for a prayer and then went to the room where the recording was set up. It was my honored to sing with our fellow brothers and sisters from Africa for the refugee project.
The Concert was held in Hong Kong Science Museum and with the different groups of performance of fellow students of the community, we had a meaningful and joyful night with music, dances and messages.
We only have limited copies of the CD for fundraising of this project. Let us know if you would like to support some more copies!
