Invited by our church sister by our working group, it was the first time we travelled together.

We bought our food together in Tung Chung, and took a bus to Discovery Bay, and also walked our way to the Trappist Haven Monastery.

The priest set up and built the monastery when they were at aged 28, and most of them around in their 80s. They practised their prayers and connection with God in silence. Their main roles and call are to pray for the world! They even developed their own hand signs to communicate without language with each other.

Have you ever imagined to be silence and in search of His way?

They first located in China, and during cultural revolution they were expelled, and so they escaped to Hong Kong. And that's why during the lunch prayers, they were speaking mandarin.

Have you tried the Trappist cookies?
