Invited by our leader Amy, I attended the Environmental Movie - Ashes to Honey on the monday evening of the last day of June 2014 organised by the Hong Kong Christian Council. I was late and was eating by vegetarian roll next to Priest on the first row.
And it was inspiring when the Japanese fishermen and farmers standing for the planet and their own lifestyle and refused to build the Nuclear Energy Plant!
"We don't the nuclear plant, go out!"
Japanese fishermen and farmers said.
"You guys are getting old! We are standing for the prosperity of the future generations! Your next generation can work with us!" Japanese Nuclear Electronic Company staff said.
"We do not want to work with you! Go away!"
Japanese fishermen and farmers said.
This is exactly similar like the scene when I first arrived Cheung Chau, where the citizens were a stand for the opposition of building the incinerator in their community meeting. I was with Jack, Phil and also with Martina! And it was exactly why and how we started to develop our FOOD BOX.
"So why are you doing all these?"
The leader of the Japanese fishermen and farmers said.
The camera was shooting the little daughter.
"Because I want to preserve the ocean for our next generation"
The leader of the Japanese fishermen and farmer, and the father of one said.
One of the interesting things are the way Japanese argue are still very polite...
And here's let's look at what the government and council to define and defend SUSTAINABILITY:
" In more general terms, sustainability is the endurance of systems and processes. The organizing principle for sustainability is sustainable development, which includes the four interconnected domains: ecology, economics, politics and culture."
